The FCM-12VIR is the most capable Tier 1 Fiber Control Module. It combines 6 visible laser channels for encoded identification with 6 near-infrared laser channels. The internal NIR light source gives long single-mode reach and can replace the external OLS module when the system is stepped up to Tier 2 qualification testing with the CCM and OTDR modules.

Long-haul deployments and combined visible/NIR operation. Tier 1 — the Advanced level of the VisiMap line, and the natural base for a Tier 2 system.
