Bidirectional communication

Infrared wavelengths (1310nm, 1550nm) carry data between transmit and receive devices, enabling remote control and OTDR trace viewing.

Full 12-port identification using encoded visible wavelengths (488nm, 520nm, 638nm) via DMX512 protocol.

About

The FCM-12VIR is the maximum-capability VisiMap Fiber Control Module. It combines 6 visible laser channels for encoded identification with 6 near-infrared channels for bidirectional data communication. The internal NIR light source can replace the need for an external OLS module, and the infrared channel enables remote control and OTDR trace viewing when paired with the CCM.
